1. General

This privacy policy ("policy") will help you understand how Quantum Academy Pte Ltd (“QA”) uses and protects the data you provide to us when you visit and use our website, or enrol to courses or events organized or conducted by us.

We reserve the right to change this policy at any given time, of which you will be promptly updated. If you want to make sure that you are up to date with the latest changes, we advise you to frequently visit this page.

We generally do not collect your personal data unless it is provided to us voluntarily by you directly or via an introducer (such as an existing student) who has been properly authorised by you to disclose your personal data to us. We shall seek your consent before collecting any additional personal data and before using your personal data for a purpose which has not been notified to you (except where permitted or authorised by law).

2. What Data We Collect

When you enrol for courses or events organised by QA, we may collect the following data:

• Your personal particulars and contact information

• Your job title, company name and contact information

• Your dietary request

• Your travel itinerary details

• Your Passport and NRIC details

• Your Next of Kin (NOK) names and contacts

• Your photo of personal portray

3. Why We Collect Your Data

We are collecting your data for several reasons:

• To facilitate administration of the course enrolment

• To personalize offering of our services

• To arrange transport and accommodation

• To apply for travel-permit where necessary

• To send you academia information and course schedule and activities

• To contact you to fill out surveys and participate in other types of market research

• To set up social media interest group for interaction

• To comply with any applicable laws and regulations or to assist in law enforcement and investigations conducted by any governmental and/or regulatory authority

• To transmit to our third-party service providers and agents, and relevant governmental and/or regulatory authorities, whether in Singapore or abroad, for the aforementioned purposes.

4. When Do We Disclose Your Personal Data

We may disclose your personal data:

• where such disclosure is required to perform our services to you; or

• to third-party service providers, agents and other organisations we have engaged to perform any of the functions listed in Clause 3 above.

The above may continue to apply even in situations where your relationship with us has been terminated or changed in any way, for a reasonable period after that, enable us to carry out our rights under any service agreement with you.

 

5. How to Access and Correct Personal Data

If you wish to make

• an access request for access to a copy of the personal data which we hold about you or information about the ways in which we use or disclose your personal data, or

• a correction request to correct or update any of your personal data which we hold about you,

you may write to our administrator through email.

Please note that a reasonable fee may be charged for an access request. If so, we will inform you of the fee before processing your request.

6. Accuracy of Personal Data

We generally rely on personal data provided by you (or your authorised representative). In order to ensure that your personal data is current, complete and accurate, please update us if there are changes to your personal data by informing our administrator through email.

7. Safeguarding of Privacy Information

QA is committed to securing your data and keeping it confidential. QA has done all in its power to prevent data theft, unauthorized access, and disclosure by implementing the latest technologies and software, which help us safeguard all the information we collect and store.

To safeguard your personal data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks, we have introduced appropriate administrative, physical and technical measures such as up-to-date antivirus protection, encryption and the use of privacy filters to secure all storage and transmission of personal data by us, and disclosing personal data both internally and to our authorised third party service providers and agents only on a need-to-know basis.

You should be aware, however, that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While security cannot be guaranteed, we strive to protect the security of your information and are constantly reviewing and enhancing our information security measures.

If there is a data breach and likely resulting in significant harm to individuals, and/or are of significant scale, we will notify the PDPC and affected individuals as soon as practicable. We have a procedure in place according to PDPA requirement.
